Left Handed Sticks

Shop genuine left handed pro stock hockey sticks, up to 70% off retail prices. A left handed stick is built for a player whose left hand sits lower on the shaft, which is the most common setup in hockey and the reason this is our deepest section. Every stick is team-issued or pro-spec, with real Bauer, CCM, Warrior, True and Sherwood patterns rather than retail copies. Filter by flex and curve to find your match, and check back often because new inventory lands regularly.

About Left Handed Pro Stock Hockey Sticks

A left handed hockey stick, often written as a left shot or LH, is one you hold with your left hand at the bottom of the shaft and your right hand at the top. The blade is curved to match. It has nothing to do with which hand you write with, which is the single most common mix-up we hear from first-time buyers. If you are not sure which you are, pick up a stick the way that feels natural and look at which hand ends up lower.

Left is the majority in hockey, and our own inventory shows it: we carry roughly two left handed sticks for every right handed one. That works in your favour here. It means the widest choice of curves, flexes and pro patterns on the site, including player specs that never reached retail. If you shoot right instead, head to our right handed pro stock sticks.

New to buying pro stock? Start with what a pro stock stick actually is, work out your number with the hockey stick flex guide, check the length you need on the hockey stick size chart, match your blade using the curve comparison chart, and fine-tune your release with the kick point guide.

Common Questions

What is a left handed hockey stick?
A left handed stick, also called a left shot or LH, is held with your left hand low on the shaft and your right hand at the top, with the blade curved to suit. It refers to how you shoot, not which hand you write with.

Am I left handed or right handed for hockey?
Pick up a stick without thinking about it and see which hand ends up lower on the shaft. If it is your left hand, you shoot left and you need a left handed stick. Plenty of right handed people shoot left, so do not go by your writing hand.

Why are there more left handed hockey sticks than right handed?
Most hockey players shoot left, particularly in Canada, so manufacturers and pro teams order far more left handed sticks. Our own stock runs about two to one in favour of left, which means more curves and flexes to choose from on this page.
